EMPOWERING TALENT FOR THE FUTURE
An innovative alliance of organizations building a skilled, healthy, multigenerational, and cross-disciplinary energy talent pipeline to drive a lower-carbon future.
A Unique Collaboration
Just before the outbreak of COVID-19, numerous industry leaders from the oil and gas, power and utilities, renewables, nuclear, and climate tech sectors came together to create the Energy Workforce of the Future (EWOTF)—a joint vision and roadmap for attracting and developing the energy workforce. Through a unique collaboration with over 80 companies, startups, affinity groups, and academic institutions, we identified four critical pillars to drive progress together across the energy value chain: attraction, retention, culture, and community.
In a noisy world of information and misinformation, this website is designed for individuals interested in or working in the energy sector. It is a comprehensive and growing listing of curated resources.
Each year, ALLY Energy convenes the Energy Workforce of the Future Summit in the spring to bring together the community to advance the roadmap. The 6th annual summit willl be hosted on April 23, 2025 at Expand Energy.

ATTRACTION
We will invest in energy literacy and develop an industry value proposition.
Technology, finance, and healthcare are more desirable industries. Energy needs a narrative, one that embraces all forms.

RETENTION
We will prepare the workforce for the energy transition.
A lower-carbon world will require exceptional talent. We will work to cross-skill, upskill and reskill talent for the transition.

CULTURE
We will develop a resilient and sustainable workforce.
We will create a sense of belonging, inclusive workplaces, benefits, and cultures that transcend policy.

COMMUNITY
We will share best practices across the industry.
The ALLY community convenes semi-annually to discuss, socialize, and publish best practices in the energy workforce, talent attraction, and development.
